NACCL PROCEEDINGS & NACCL-20 PROCEEDINGS

The first few years of the NACCL conference did not have proceedings volumes. The very first set of NACCL proceedings was prepared upon the completion of NACCL-6 (1994), hosted by Professor Audrey Li at the University of Southern California. NACCL-6 and subsequent proceedings volumes prepared by the succeeding organizers of NACCL conferences are available from GSIL Publications, University of Southern California.

NACCL-20 Proceedings

The Proceedings of the 20th North American Conference on Chinese Linguistics will usher in the digital era for the annual publication of the NACCL Proceedings. (See the NACCL Proceedings Style Sheet for E-Publication.) The NACCL-20 Proceedings volume (or double volume), to be in PDF format, will be freely downloadabe from the NACCL-20 website.

The NACCL-20 Proceedings volume aims to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of this conference series by dedicating it to our special invited plenary speaker, Professor Edwin G. Pulleyblank, Professor Emeritus, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. The Proceedings is in honor of Professor Pulleyblank's eighty-fifth birthday, which took place on 7 August 2007, just as the organization of the conference was in full swing, with designing of this website, preparing the call for papers, seeking sources of funding, and so forth. Nine months later, we hope to wind down and mark the successful completion of NACCL-20 by publishing the Proceedings in time to celebrate Professor Pulleyblank's eighty-sixth birthday.

The deadline for authors to submit their full paper is 31 July 2008. To ensure timely publication of the Proceedings, submission prior to end of July is especially encouraged and highly welcomed! Authors are directed to the NACCL Proceedings Style Sheet for E-Publication to aid them in preparing their camera-ready manuscript, as well as to the authors' information page for specific instructions for digital submission of their manuscript in MS Word DOC format and a corresponding copy in PDF format. We look forward to authors' contribution to Proceedings of the 20th North American Conference on Chinese Linguistics!
