COLUMBUS, OHIO
This web page provides some links to information on the university, the city, local transportation, weather, eateries around the campus area and vicinity, and local newspaper and television stations for news, weather, entertainment, etc.

1. THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY

- The OSU campus is centrally located at the heart of University District, with shops and eateries all along that two-mile stretch of North High Street, the thoroughfare ("Main Street") of Columbus.
- CABS (Campus Area Bus Service) (university-operated free bus service for transporation in and around the campus area)

- The Ohio State University Transportation and Parking Services (info on campus parking and bus service, including Main Campus Visitors Parking, a useful resource for information on visitor parking permits, garage information for visitors, etc.)
Campus Parking: The NACCL-20 conference — regular and plenary sessions — will be held at Ramseyer Hall (Building 090, in yellow), on 29 West Woodruff Avenue. The closest parking garage is Arps Garage (Building 278, in blue), located adjacent to Ramseyer Hall. Visitor parking at the Arps Garage is available after 4:00 p.m. on weekdays, and all day on the weekend. Two blocks south is the Ohio Union Garage (Building 288, in pink), at College Road and 12th Avenue), with 24-hour access for visitors. Note that across the road from the Ohio Union Garage, on 1775 College Road, is the building that is the site of the third plenary session and public lecture, namely, Hagerty Hall, Building 037, in light green). These four buildings are shown on the campus map above. [Click on the map for a full, large image that is displayed in a new tab.]. These buildings are located on, or near, North High Street, which runs north and south, but is typically displayed on Ohio State campus maps as stretching horizontally across the bottom of the map. The conference site at Ramseyer Hall is directly across from campus district shops and eateries.
2. CITY BUS ROUTES AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
- Ramseyer Hall & Conference Hotel – Bus lines
- Neil Avenue (No. 7, local): Take the bus from Ramseyer Hall to the University Plaza Hotel, and get off at the University City bus stop (the last stop). (See the Neil Avenue (Local) - bus route and time table (pdf file).)
- Kenny Road (No. 18, local): Take the bus ("Tuttle Mall") from Ramseyer Hall to the University City bus stop. (See the Kenny Road (Local) - bus route and time table (pdf file).)
- Both bus lines run along West Woodruff Avenue and have bus stops on West Woodruff Avenue. The Kenny Road (No. 18, local) bus line also runs along North High Street and has bus stops there as well.
- Duration: The bus ride between campus and the hotel is about 10 minutes.
- Fare – One-Way (local route): $1.50 each way.
- Fare – DayPass: $3.50 for a DayPass, which offers unlimited rides until midnight for any given day.
- Note: Exact fare is required. Drivers carry no cash.

University District: Transportation (local city bus service operated by COTA (Central Ohio Transportation Authority)
- Trip Planner: COTA offers an online trip planner to assist you in planning your bus trip, including your return trip.
- Fare – One-Way (local route): $1.50 each way. Exact fare is required. Transfer, which is given upon request, is free and included in the base price.
- Fare – DayPass (local route): $3.50 (good until midnight of the same day). Exact fare is required.
3. CAMPUS-AREA RESTAURANTS AND EATERIES
- University District: Restaurants (restaurants, coffee shops, fast-food, American, Chinese and other ethnic eateries, etc., in the vicinity)
- Campus Dining and BuckID Merchants: Restaurants (restaurants, coffee shops and other eateries) off-campus that accept Ohio State student ID/debit cards.
- The Short North (a commercial district on North High Street between the university district and downtown with restaurants as well as shops and art galleries)
- Lennox Town Center (student-oriented shopping center on Kinnear Road, west of the main part of the campus (see map; click on it for a broader view in a new tab); restaurants, 24-screen theater, a bookstore, shops, etc.)
